So Avery is learning all about the nativity scene, Jesus being born, and how he is God's son. Some interesting conversations have followed. How all of this "big stuff" computes in a three year old has been so sweet and hilarious at the same time. So here's a funny one...
I was talking to Avery about being in a pageant at school and she informed me that Jesus was going to be in it. I asked her what her "role" was. Thinking her answer would be angel, sheep, Mary, etc... instead she said,
"It's going to be a fashion show- I'm going to be a princess and Jesus will be in it too."
I still haven't stopped laughing. Part of me wonders if I have steered her wrong somehow in all these explanations, but I think Jesus got a little chuckle out of that. I'm not sure burlap robes and sandaled feet make much of a fashion show and how my daughter even knows what a fashion show is is definitely beyond me... anyway, can't wait to see what this pageant is! HA!

OH that is so cute! Kids say some pretty funny things! I have always wanted to write them down and make a book for Hudson and Lily to look back on when they are older. Can't wait to see pictures from the pageant/"fashion show"!
Megan, I'm mailing a box of goodies to you 12/09/08. Judy
Oh wow!! That sounds hilarious--maybe Birkenstocks are making a big fashion comeback??
I have some Amish Friendship bread starters, would you like one?? I bake it tomorrow, so that will be day one! Let me know!
